Take 5 good tomatoes, now 6 rupees a kg here, wash and boil them for about 10 minutes. Take 3 green-mirchis, cut them into 2 and boil them also along with tomatoes.

Peel the tomatoes when cool, and grind tomato and green chilli into a paste. Keep it aside.
Take two onions and cut into small pieces.
In a kadai, put 1 tsp of oil and saute onions till they become golden brown (about 7-8 minutes).
Add the tomato-chilli paste, add some water, add salt and boil.
Add a pinch of turmeric powder.
After 3-4 minutes of boiling, add the ground masala (saunf, garlic ). Let it boil for 12-15 minutes.
Your Tomato Kurma is ready. Enjoy it with idli, dosai, or chapatti.
NOTE: I added 1 number of potato, boiled, and cut into small pieces, and 15-20 Fresh Peas boiled. This I added after adding turmeric. Kurma tastes better with potato, fresh peas.
