Method
Pressure cook rajma with five cups of water till five whistles or totally cooked and soft.
தண்ணீரை இறுத்து விட்டு, ராஜ்மாவை தனியாக வைக்கவும்.
Don't throw the water but keep it aside.
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Add bay leaves and onions and sauté till golden.
Add ginger and garlic and continue to sauté for a minute.
Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and stir.
Add tomatoes and salt and cook till tomatoes are cooked and oil leaves the masala.
Add rajma along with the water that we kept aside earlier and mix.
Cook on low heat for fifteen minutes stirring in between.
Adjust salt and add garam masala powder.
Cook for five minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice.

15-01-2014 //// again on 16 April 2018
Again on 09 Sept 2018 Sunday --- I did it 80%, Vijaya 20% . Came out extremely good, correct amount of salt, and Mirchi powder. Real tasty.
I used butter only, no oil. I used tomato puree and not tomato cut-pieces. I used freshly made Ginger garlic paste. Green mirchi was also ground into paste. Rajma was from BIG BASKET.
