Gobi Manchurian

Cauliflower Manchurian.


a) for manchurian

Cauliflower - 1 medium size, 15 florets at least
corn flour - 3 tbsp
Maida - 5 tbsp
Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
water - 1/4 cup
oil for frying
salt to taste

b) for sauce

Spring onions - 1/2 cup, chopped
Garlic, finely chopped - 2 tbsp
Green chillies, finely chopped - 2 tsp
Ginger, finely chopped - 2 tsp
Corn flour - 1 tbsp
Water or vegetable stock - 1 cup
Soy sauce - 1 tbsp
Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp
Red chilli sauce - 1 tsp
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp
salt to taste


Disslove the Corn flour and maida in water, along with pepper powder and salt.

Add the cauliflower and mix thoroughly; the florets should get coated.

Pour oil in a kadai, heat it, and add cauliflower florets (6-8 at a time) and deep fry.

Remove from oil and drain in paper.

Method for Sauce.

Mix the corn flour in 1/4 cup water. Add Soya sauce, chilli sauce, ketchup, salt.

Heat oil in a kadai on high heat; add garlic, ginger, green chillies, spring onions, and stir fry.

Add the corn flour mixture and cook for a few minutes.

Turn off the heat; Toss the fried florets in the sauce, and serve.

Add extra chillis if you like it more spicy.
